Being a Parent Has Unique Challenges – Get Help and Support

Our background shapes the resources we have to give to our children

Many of us can be baffled by the challenges that our children present us.

Heads up: our children are often equally baffled about what is expected of them and how they might eventually succeed as adults.

Our children are living in a world surrounded by a completely new set of givens and different challenges than we experienced as adolescents. For parents who are ba’alei teshuva, the absence of effective, traditional role models in our own childhood can compound these challenges. How do we navigate these waters as a frum yid?
For those who are frum from birth, the Torah is our primary guideline, yet perhaps we haven’t  deeply internalized what Chazal truly teaches us. Who can we talk to about our troubled child?
Children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, or other major, collective Jewish traumas, often need support realigning their own needs and integrating complex memories to be calmer, more focused, happier and less influenced by generational trauma.
In the G.A.P. Parenting courses, you can close these gaps and get support from experts who are also mothers. You can develop into becoming a more mindful, warm and present parent. You will learn amazing and effective skills, gain confidence in your abilities and soar as a model for your children, for life!
