What we do
G.A.P. Parent Training Seminars
Our “G.A.P.” Parent Training Seminars in English, “SAMCHUT!” in Hebrew and “Oyf Undzer Derech” in Yiddish, cover a lot of ground in a supportive atmosphere for mothers of all ages, from “newborns” to grandmothers.
G.A.P. Foundations (8 weeks) covers topics such as:
Building trust, attachment, anger management, self-esteem, healthy lifestyle, communication skills, proper boundaries, love and authority, benevolent discipline, motivation, reward and consequences, Sholom Bayis and its effect on children.
G.A.P. Plus (4 weeks) includes:
Positive thinking, child development, the emotionally intense child, E.Q. vs. I.Q., responsibility, generating joy, creative & gifted children, organization & time management. This class is a continuation of G.A.P. Foundations, but stands on its own and can be taken separately.
G.A.P. 2 Advanced (8 weeks):
Sibling relationships, teenagers, ADHD personality, trauma, abuse, and neglect. This course includes cutting-edge material and sensitive subjects that are carefully discussed, with Rabbinic approval. This course requires the participant to have taken both G.A.P. Foundations and G.A.P. Plus previous to signing up.
B’Derech HaMelech Consult
Our B’Derech HaMelech Consult is a series of private parent sessions for either one or both parents searching for answers in dealing with a specific child or changing their family dynamics. Through our own unique system, either in person or by phone, learning or behavior challenges are addressed. This consult was developed for observant parents to work together as a team, understand their child’s challenges and create change, regardless of the family’s situation.
Peace Within
Our Peace Within project is an interactive Sholom Bayis task force. Tips, tools, mediation and role playing become a game changer in the areas of commitment and mutual respect. They address the confusing world of instant gratification & long-term goals, modernity & technology, Jewish tradition and effective communication skills.
Our work and lectures can be delivered in English, Hebrew, or Yiddish.
